**The number of employees and level of compensation will depend upon fund raising. If fundraising goals are met, all 19 BioTour crew members will be compensated the maximum amount per week. Shortages in fund raising will necessitate budget cuts either in the number of employees or in total compensation. Therefore, your efforts fund raising are vital to the size and success of BioTour. Final decisions for budget cuts (either hiring fewer crew members or receiving less compensation) will be determined democratically by current crew members at the time the decision must be made. When you join as a BioTour crew member you will participate in this decision.
We will be hiring potential crew members. As we get funding for more buses, potential crew members become crew members. Basically, we provide potential crew members with materials and a strategic fund raising plan and we all coordinate efforts to raise funds. The number of buses and employees is directly dependent upon how much money we raise. More money, more buses, more crew members. Less money, fewer buses, fewer new crew members. So for a short period, applicants will become potential crew members. (No one will be hired ahead of potential crew members. The only thing that would prevent potential crew members from becoming a full-time crew member would be lack of funds). BioTour will be a team and everyone must contribute in fund raising and other efforts to make this successful.
